About Lloyd Dowson
Professionalism, Approachability, Client Commitment
Lloyd Dowson, although originally formed in 1974, by myself, lay somewhat dormant during the early eighties, due to the fact that I was away pursuing a commercial career, gaining experience on all fronts of running, expanding, merging and amalgamating numerous businesses. In 1988 an opportunity arose to return to full time practice in Bridlington, which I decided to take.
I have endeavoured to build the Practice on professionalism, approachability and technical awareness in a business environment which is constantly changing, almost daily, giving an accountancy office new angles of computer training, relief office management and Saturday morning clinics, providing small to medium size businesses with a full range of services. In my opinion, a modern practice is not merely an accountancy centre, but a total business advice unit, which gets involved with each and every client, as and when needed, sometimes many times during the financial year.
The commitment to client care, services and staff training is paramount and, as part of a National Training Group, we are always abreast of the ever changing rules and regulations, with Specialist advice always being on hand with time always being of the essence, the majority of clients receive their accounts within one to two months of the year end.
My main pride is, however, the fact that our 40 plus strong team, now looks after in excess of 1,000 businesses, who enjoy the comfort and confidence of knowing that they are dealing with a modern, up-to-date, go-ahead practice that is well respected not only by Customs and Excise, the Inland Revenue and Companies House, but also all the major Banks and lending establishments in the area.
If the success of the Firm’s policy, to combine the professionalism, modern thinking, approachability and customer care, is measured by the number of clients, who have transferred their affairs to this Office, in recent years, I can safely say we have succeeded.
